Covid-19 – The Feeders Foundation Impact

It  is  no  longer  news  that  the  whole  world  is  currently  gasping  under the  choke-hold  of  the  fast-spreading  Coronavirus  pandemic.  Its destabilising effects is presently being seriously felt in every sector of all  economies  and  societies  around  the  globe.  All  countries  of  the world—regardless of their levels of development, or whatever kinds of powers  they  may  possess  or  any  other  considerations  whatsoever—currently  face  the  daunting  challenge  of  arresting  the  spread  of  the deadly virus, and undoing its effects. Indeed, the entirety of humanity, regardless of whatever form of diferences that exist amongst us, is at risk of falling victim to the terrible claws of the disease. However, some sections  of  humankind  bear  far  more  risk  than  others.  As  such, everyone  everywhere  must  be  involved  in  the  light  against  this ravaging pandemic, if we must triumph collectively

THE PROJECT
Why COVID-19 Grassroots Sensitization?
The ongoing global developments on the Coronavirus pandemic goes to prove that, when the chips are down, what unites us, as humans, are far more than the things that divide us. Indeed, like a very big chain, we are only as strong as our weakest link. Thus, a risk or harm to any section of humanity anywhere in the world is a (potential) risk to all of humanity everywhere else. It is to this end that The Feeders Foundation has identified a high-risk community in Nigeria and decided to intervene by carrying out serious sensitisation campaign at the grassroots level in the community.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The primary objective of the project is to contribute significantly towards preventing the spread of the current Coronavirus pandemic. To achieve this, we purpose to:
• Sensitise people at the grassroots level in various local languages (English, Nigerian Pidgin, French, Yoruba and Gun) with the use of public address systems in Seme Border communities on measures to protect themselves against the virus
• Distribute free sanitisers, soaps and face-mask within the community to help people stay protected.
We will seriously see to it that our public sensitisation does not make people breach the globally acclaimed principle of ‘social distancing’
